Parent Testimonials
“Our family met ‘Miss Kayla’ when our oldest son was a little over 2.5 years old. Despite utilizing local early intervention as directed by his pediatrician, our son continued to have significant speech deficits. As first time parents, we had no experience in this area and felt lost as we attempted to navigate uncharted territory. Thankfully, we found Kayla! She gave us amazing guidance and support, making the initially scary and often exhausting unknowns of our son’s speech journey hopeful and positive.
Kayla’s SLP expertise, coupled with her dedication, passion and love for her work with children were the perfect combination for our son. Our son was incredibly receptive to her inviting gentle nature; he loved ‘playing’ with ‘Miss Kayla’ each session. Her patience and phenomenal ability to read kiddos enabled her to best meet our son’s needs, ultimately enabling him to successfully overcome difficult speech obstacles.
In addition, Kayla’s positivity and determination are contagious! She always wears a smile on her face and proved to be the biggest cheerleader, consistently boosting our son’s confidence with each goal achieved! She truly shared in the excitement with all of us. She was invested in the growth of our son and although it often felt like an uphill battle, she would constantly give us hope and direction. She clearly communicated with our family, enabling us to be an extension of her efforts while at home as well.
After two years working with Kayla, our son was officially discharged from speech therapy at 4.5 years old. His speech today is age appropriate and he is currently a thriving first grader! (That no one knows he has a history of speech therapy!) There is no doubt that he is where he is today in great part to all of Miss Kayla’s work and efforts. We’re so grateful that she was a part of our son’s journey. We cannot recommend her enough! ‘Miss Kayla’ rocks!”

“Kayla has made a huge difference in our lives and the life of our child. The progress that has been made over the past three years of sessions with Kayla has been much more than we could have ever wished for. We are forever grateful for Kayla and her ability to engage our child in age and deficit specific areas, her patience with our child’s challenging behaviors, her ability to guide and help us as parents, and her overall passion for making a positive difference in our lives.”

“Kayla began seeing our son just before his 3rd birthday. At that time, we were working on basic knowledge like name and age. She connected with him so easily and was able to encourage conversation because of that connection. In March when the pandemic started, enough progress had been made that we were able to continue through teletherapy. She really goes the extra mile to keep the children engaged through teletherapy and finding what works for them. Kayla provides at home activities and guidance to encourage speaking at home. Our son is now 4 and is at an age-appropriate level for speech. His independence and self-confidence have increased significantly in the past year and I truly do not believe that would have happened if it weren’t for Kayla.”

“Kayla is everything you could want in a speech pathologist for your child. She is patient and persistent in a way that challenges my son to hit his speech goals. She is good at adapting to his mood and emotions and altering her sessions with him to still achieve the goals we have for him. She has always gone above and beyond for him and truly cares about him. We are forever grateful for Kayla and all she has done for our boy.”

“Kayla worked with my son for 3 years on delayed speech and wh- questions. She was so great with both my kids! We all looked forward to seeing her. My son needed an extra push, as he would not always want to push himself. She was so patient with him and kept positively pushing him and was creative with the techniques. My son is now talking all the time and enjoys reading! He wouldn’t have this much confidence if it wasn’t for Kayla working with him and building up his skills! Thank you Kayla.”
